The U.S. Department of Transportation limits the amount of time truckers spend behind the wheel. They require truck drivers to maintain log books to track duty hours, driving hours, and time spent in a sleeper berth.
With the Truck Logics Driver app, the truck drivers can add their daily records on work, the activities performed and can submit the DVIR report.
The reason for maintaining a driver log is that truck drivers spend many long, lonely hours on the road, and exhaustion frequently sets in.

Also, truckers are limited to driving a total of 60 hours during a seven-day period, or 70 hours in an eight-day period. They must then rest for a minimum of 34 consecutive hours prior to starting a new driving period.
