As a fleet owner, owner operator, or broker, TruckLogics allows you to add driver information to your account, and you can assign these drivers for your dispatches.
Here’s how to add a new driver:
Step 1:
There are two ways to add a new driver.
a. Go to the 'Address Book' menu >> 'Driver'. To add a new driver, Click 'Add New' >> 'Driver'.
b. From the Dashboard, Go to 'Add New' >> 'Contact' >> 'Driver'.
Step 2:
Choose the driver type as either ‘Employee’ or a ‘Contractor’.
- If you choose the driver as your Employee, provide the following details
- Driver's name
- ID
- Active Status
- Phone Number
- Photo.
- If you select the driver as Contractor, you will get an additional checkbox, ‘Owner Operator’, apart from the options mentioned above. You can check the box If you are an owner-operator.
Once done providing the required information, click ‘Save & Continue’.
Step 3:
After adding the driver information successfully, you can access and manage the details of the drivers you have added in the 'Address Book' menu >> 'Driver' tab.
You can Edit or Delete the information of a driver by using the options under the ‘Actions’ column.
Adding More Information About Your Drivers (Optional):
Apart from these details, there are a few optional sections available regarding the driver information.
1. ‘Addresses’ section - Click ‘Add Address’ and provide the mandatory mailing address details, and Save the information.
2. ‘Payments and License Info’ section - Add details on how the payments are to be calculated during driver settlements - Manually, Hourly, Miles driven, or Percentage. You can also provide more information about the license if required and click ‘Save’.
3. ‘Portal Access’ section - The driver can use the portal or the mobile app to access their TruckLogics account with portal access. Your driver can then monitor driver settlements, add check calls, add expenses, upload fuel receipts, access the assigned dispatches, and e-sign BOL.
Once you have created portal access for the driver, an invite email with a secure URL along with the credentials will be sent to them. With this credential, the driver can access the account through the web portal and TruckLogics mobile app.
4. ‘Emergency Contact’ section - Provide the details of the emergency contact of your driver.
5. ‘Documents’ section - Upload the driver's official documents in the correct size and format, including copies of their insurance and driver's license.
6. ‘Notes’ section - Use this tab to capture any additional information about the driver.
7. ‘Social Media’ section - You can provide the driver’s Facebook, Twitter, and other social media accounts.
