How to add a contact in TruckLogics?

TruckLogics allows you to create a new contact for Customers, and you can use this customer information while creating loads and dispatches.

Step 1:

From the Dashboard, Go to the ‘Address Book’ menu (or) click ‘Add New’ and >> select ‘Contact’. On the Address Book page, click on ‘Add New’ and select the contact type.

Step 2:
The type of contacts that can be added to your account are listed below.

  • Customer
  • Driver
  • Broker 
  • Vendor
  • Carrier 
  • Factoring
  • Staff
  • Contact

To add a new customer:

TruckLogocs allows you to create a new contact for Customers, and you can use this customer information while creating loads and dispatches.

To add a new driver:

As a fleet owner, owner-operator, or broker, TruckLogics allows you to add Driver information to your account, and you can assign these drivers for your dispatches.

To add new staff:

Set up a new Staff account as Dispatcher or Office Manager. Provide the staff name, employee id, and other information.

To add a new broker:

Select the Broker Type and provide the company information. 
Apart from these details, there are a few optional sections available regarding the broker information:

  • Address section - Click ‘Add Address’ and provide the mandatory mailing address details, and Save the information. 
  • Agent section - You can assign an agent while creating loads for this broker. 
  • Other Info section - You can provide the broker’s Facebook, Twitter, website URL, and terms.


To add a new vendor:

  • Provide the Basic details such as Company name, Contact details, and other additional information.
  • Similar to broker, there will be a few other optional sections available such as ‘Address’ and ‘Other info’.

To add a new carrier:

  • Enter the basic information such as Carrier name, Contact details, and other additional information.
  • You can also provide more details in the ‘Address’, ‘Additional Contacts’, and ‘Other Info’ sections if required.

To add a new Factoring Company:

  • Enter the basic information such as Company name, Contact details, and other additional information.
  • Apart from the ‘Address’, and ‘Other Info’ sections, you will have ‘Factoring Details’ to enter details about the factoring account number and rate.

Other Contacts:
You can also create a new contact without specifying the category. 

  • Select the Account Type as Business or Individual. Provide the required information and save the contact.
  • Add details about the address, user account, and other information. (Optional)

Step 3:

You can ‘Edit’ or ‘Delete’ the information of any contact by using the options under the ‘Actions’ column.
